Happy Wednesday Friends!
On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’, I am reminded of the importance of being gentle with myself. Lately I have been present to others who are going through hard times, I mean like real hard times … sickness, job loss, divorce, and so on. I personally, have been experiencing a lot of change, too. It’s not always easy to have compassion for ourselves when we’re experiencing big changes & challenges in our lives, but it is such a gift when we stop to do so. Check out my ‘Wednesday Walk’ to learn more about how being loving and compassionate with ourselves helps us feel lighter and face life’s challenges with greater ease.
I would love to hear from you. How do you have compassion towards yourself when you’re facing hard times? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!
All love,
jodi
i like to go into a quiet place and feel Gods love and peace
purity of heart opens me up to give love and then to receive
prayer and writing poetry is very healing for me
being with my 6 yr old son shows me a true perspective on life~!
amen!
Sometimes i miss the compassion boat for myself. Being the mother of a 6 year old its often easier to meet her needs and mine come later. Your blog and my own meditation and yoga practice reminds me…. Its practice. I conciously take a moment when i feel ungrounded and remind my self this is the perfect moment to take a breath and begin again. I am working on being kinder to myself more consistently. This is the only way you are able to be truly present and give to yourself and others. Thanks Jodi for the gentle reminder. Peace, Jamie
