Wednesday Walk ~ Laughter is the Best Medicine

Happy Wednesday Friends!

On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’, I am inspired by laughter. This past weekend I experienced the healing effects of laughter while visiting my family in Portland. During my visit a business challenge came up for me that was a little distracting.  But my niece and nephew helped me get through it by being their happy, silly selves, which included lots of tickling and laughter. This worked wonders for my spirits and reminded me of how important laughter is for our well-being. Check out my ‘Wednesday Walk’ to be inspired on how we can bring more levity into our lives with laughter.

I would love to hear from you. What are some ways you bring laughter into your life? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!

Hi Jodi, You are so right…laughter is indeed the best medicine. My breakthrough came when I became aware that we don’t need a reason to laugh and that we can laugh “no matter what” with unconditional laughter.

Last week my neighbor’s kitty was killed by a coyote in our beach community. We had no idea there were coyotes here. I loved Stretchy Boy and my heart was so heavy. I couldn’t stop crying, let alone find my laughter. I decided to go through the motions of saying HA and HO and HEE as I did my household chores. That afternoon I was able to connect with gratitude for all the joy-filled times with Stretchy and was able to smile and laugh freely again.
As we learned in the Laughter Meditation workshop, motion creates emotion. The more you laugh, the more you laugh.
    Thank goodness. 🙂
