On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’ … well, I am not on a walk at all. In fact, I am writing you this from my bed! That’s right, I am down with a cold & laryngitis, so no vlog could be made with my current state of health. But what I do want to share with you is how present I am to life being truly a balancing act.
This past weekend, I was so full of joy, super social, attended 2 yoga fundraisers & spent the day on Sunday in beautiful Sonoma where I enjoyed wine tasting with some sweet soul sisters. I couldn’t have been happier … being of service, doing yoga, laughing with friends, & sipping my fave ~ vino.
Then bam, out of nowhere, I get hit with a nasty cold & I’ve been horizontal for 48 hours now. Not my, or I imagine your, idea of fun. But truly, this just reminds me of how life is really all about balance.
We need to have the busy, to appreciate the calm. We must have the drought to welcome the rain. And we most certainly must have sickness to value our health.
I am just like you, I have my ups & downs!
And, as good as I am at having a good time, I too know how to take good care of myself. Take a peak at my arsenal …
Yes, I am eating raw garlic, squeezing a tincture in my mouth every hour & putting oils on my throat, chest & feet (fastest way to absorb into the system.) I am grateful to take good care of myself, as it’s important especially if I want to play as hard as I do.
So these past few days, as I heal, I reflect on the beauty that life is all about balance. Wouldn’t you agree?
