Wednesday Walk ~ There is Always Something to be Grateful For!

Hello Friends, Happy Wednesday!

On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk with Chants’, I share that, for me, everyday is Thanksgiving! While thinking about gratitude, I realized that it is often very easy for me to be grateful for all of the wonderful things in my life that have been going great … But what about those things that don’t feel so good? How can we expand our gratitude to those wonderful lessons that can teach us so much?

I’d love to hear from you … have you had a moment where you found gratitude in a difficult situation? If not, what about these situations make it difficult for you to have gratitude for them? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!

Grateful for you,
jodi

Although I am going through a challenging transition right now (completed my graduate program half a year ago and still looking for a job) I am grateful for being having plenty of free time to practice yoga, meditate, go for long walks outside, and spend holidays with those I love. I am also grateful for all the opportunities that have yet to come my way!

I’ve often wondered if you would have any healing words to help me with my dilemna this year. I’ve done a lot of work, taken great strides and see the silver lining in having a very painful year, but still battle with unresolve. Short story: Infertility. Long story:
2 miscarriages, first friendship loss ever (related to a friend’s insenstivity toward my miscarriages), Many friends pregnant. It’s been a year of loss and yet gain on a spiritual level, a gain with friendships that have withstood the discomfort of my distress, but I find myself still so anger at my body, my friends that were unable to support me. I’ve read so many books and i know there is much gain in struggle, but i a still trying to get pregnant and feel ever time i don’t- all of the pain, anger, loss starts again.
Oy vey. long one here. Any thoughts are welcome. I’ve spent many hours trying to come to resolve, having moments of clarity, but then each month I feel loss again.
    urrrggg.

beautiful jackie ~ thank you for sharing this with me/us! you are a brave soul & that is to be celebrated!! i too have experienced a miscarriage, at 18 months ~ and it is truly one of the most challenging experiences that no one can understand or truly relate to … even women who have had this trauma, i find each women/situation is so unique. i am sorry you have lost a friend & have continued to struggle with getting pregnant. i do know that when we hold on to anger & pain, it makes it difficult to allow for the light come in with ease & grace ~ like we so want it. i also do know that the light is there for you ~ it always is … it is just a matter of allowing it, seeing it & trusting it. my offering ~ surrender this to spirit & trust that there is a divine plan for you, healing & learning including 🙂 count your blessings girl … you have a loving partner, a beautiful healthy son, and so much more that i can hardly wait to be around soon! sending you lots of loving & eternal light ~ oh & a big hug!!!

    Dear Jodi,
As you said it is so easy to be grateful for the good fortune that we have (although sometimes we forget even to do so). But what are we doing with this gratefulness? I think to be really grateful is related to how you use and share these things that you are lucky enough to have it.

And about the “not so good” experiences, I think these are the ones that we learn a lot from and if we learn what we need to learn they are all gone, turning into the ones that we are grateful for 🙂

So let’s share what we have and let’s be grateful for the ones that we don’t have, or don’t like and try to learn from them 🙂

    Love,

    Gamze
