Wednesday Walk ~ Worrying is Like Praying for What You Don’t Want

Happy Wednesday!

On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk with Chants’, I open up about the changes that my amazing dog Chants is going through. In December, Chants will be 11 years young! Lately, he has a lot of inflammation on his spine which has caused him to experience ataxia. Because of this, I am noticing that his body is changing and as you can imagine, this has been painful for me.

Lately I have found myself worrying and thinking about the possibility of life with out him.  After being caught up in the worrying an sadness, I remembered the notion that “Worrying is like Praying for what you Don’t Want.”

Please enjoy this week’s video blog as I share about my experience.

Our thoughts are powerful!!! What are you manifesting by worrying? How can you cancel that and visualize what you want instead? Please do leave a comment & share your experience, so we can all learn from you!

And please, send healing love to my best friend Chants!

All Love,

P.S. Chants gets amazing care from Tsavo’s Canine Rehabilitation & Fitness Center. They do incredible work, check them out!

Hi Jodie, Seeing Yogi Bhajan’s quote about what worrying is/does, brought me to watch your videopiece. I can so relate to your situation. Our animal beloveds help teach us a poignant lesson about the impermanence of life. May I suggest that when you feel worry and sadness, you allow those feelings since that is you/God in the moment? You will notice that because of the “impermanence” of life, they will be there only as long as is part of the natural flow of energy. You can trust that it is ok to feel them. Then as part of the natural flow, you may turn your attention to easily flow into the better feeling thought. Sometimes it helps me to appreciate my beloved friend for the spirit-lesson, and trust that nothing that is based in LOVE ever dies, which is something persons of consciousness, like you, my dear friend, know innately.
On a practical level, it sounds like you are getting very quality care, and may already know about Flex Pet supplements, which may be helpful. Blessings to you and Chants!

shakta ~ when i read your words about how anything based in LOVE is never lost … i felt light & easy. its true, i know this. and yes, i do allow myself to feel my feelings versus not facing them … along with prayer & a sweet soulful surrender all support my process. thank you for watching & your powerful contribution. i love you, always.

I found this quote about 6 months ago (on FB, of course!) and it has literally changed how I think. Thanks for sharing it once again, such a powerful reminder about living in the moment and being grateful for NOW, for THIS moment in time. Ahhhhhh!

You and Chants are blessed to have each other and you will ALWAYS be connected in your heart.

Many blessings to you as you travel and teach and change the world.

    Thank you so much Jodi,
I’ll do some prayers for Chants. I do worry as my one dog is really unwell and has spinal cord issues and I’ve been fearing her not being with us. You’re words touched me and I’m going to try and cancel out what I’ve been thinking with respect to Emiko as I’ve been doing it for a long while now.
    Many thanks

shel ~ i feel & hear you and sorry your precious emiko is facing this challenge. i know, its not easy.
please dont think i am saying not to feel your sadness or your fear, but not to obsess on it or let it overcome who you are & your relationship with him. stay in gratitude, thats all we can do.
      love you sweet friend!

Jods, I have three dogs who’m I love dearly and are a part of our family. Their love and friendship are priceless as well as the other gifts they bring. Celebrate Chants for the gifts he gives every day that he’s here. Thank you for that quote. I needed it today. Love and Light – Jazel

First I want to send healing love to Chants. In addition, I would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts on worrying. I consider myself the worrying queen and as i get older I am learning to change my thoughts to positive ones and focus on whats happening now/today which is, my family and I are healthy. I try to be thankful everyday and teach my son to do the same. On your quote “Worrying is like praying for what you don’t want” its very interesting and I will actually make that my mantra for every time I worry. Again, Thank you for sharing.
Best wishes to you and Chants.
