Description
G’day, mate! Welcome to Australia, the land down under! Some of the world’s most interesting and unique animals, like the kangaroo and platypus, live here. You’ll get acquainted with these animals, fascinating Aussie landmarks and more with Next Generation Yoga’s Lesson Plan: “Yoga Down Under.”
“Yoga Down Under” is filled with theme-specific Yoga poses focusing on one-of-a-kind Aussie animals, breathing exercises and guided visualizations, with fun and interesting facts woven throughout. This original NGY Lesson Plan also contains partner and group poses, music recommendations featuring Australian artists, and numerous opportunities for developmentally appropriate and sensory-rich movement. As always, there are suggestions for how to share this lesson in a Family Yoga class. Written by NGY Founder, Jodi Komitor & NGY Teacher, Nicole Koleshis, we’ll show you how to infuse the “Yoga Down Under” theme into a class, specifically designed for 2-7 and 8-13 year olds.
Whether you are a parent, school-based educator, or an experienced or new yoga teacher, NGY Lesson Plans are for you and the children in your life. They are thoughtfully designed so that everyone can learn something new.
