Wednesday Walk ~ Share Your Truth!

Happy Wednesday Friends!

On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’ I share about the power of speaking our truth, regardless of when it feels challenging to do so. Recently I have had the opportunity to tap into my strength, courage, and vulnerablity in order to have some conversations that felt difficult in the moment. I do this because I know the value of expressing myself rather than letting it build into resentment, anger or disease. Also, the beautiful result was that I was received with so much love & kindness, which made it even more affirming. Check out my ‘Wednesday Walk’ for some inspiration on speaking your truth.

I would love to hear from you. What conversations have you had that felt scary, and what did having those conversations open up for you? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!

All love,

Jodi, I am a New Yorker. Usually, I speak my truth too directly and loudly. My lesson now, is to speak my truth so that it can be heard. That means I have to be more aware of the receiver. Actually, it is something that I am working on right now in my communication skills. How can my truth be said in a variety of ways, that do not cause alienation or anger, or rejection by the one who is listening? I am working on a balance. Hope to see you next week. Jap-Ji

Thank you Jodi for showing your authentic self and sharing your truth. I realize, it’s not easy. This theme is a perfect one for me this week I went into a new area and attended a city meeting on wellness. I brought my knowledge of kids yoga and had the opportunity to get real at a small group round table. It took courage to sit across the table in a break out session with a director of an agency that I sent a wellness yoga proposal to and they did not work with my proposal. I addressed it with him and he asked me to resend the proposal. The excuse was how busy they are and the director did not receive it. Not true it was sent to him a few times and suggested I follow up by another staff member. I know I must let go of the way they do business.

It’s time to tap into my strength and courage a bit more before I resubmit the proposal. Thanks for bringing your voice and light to your blog and for creating the space with all the work you do. It’s given me some courage and helped support the step I need to take. After listening more to my inner wisdom I will make a step.

    Sending you all best, Jamie

thank you for sharing jamie! keep at it girl ~ sometimes the places where we want to work need to hear from us 5-8x before they actually say yes!! good for you for bringing the proposal back to his attention, now he knows you … do it again & again until he says YES! that is, if you really want it.
      appreciating you,
