Why do you teach Next Generation Yoga?
I teach Next Generation Yoga to help children in my community find calm in their busy lives. I think it is important for all children to take a moment (even if it’s a very short moment) to be aware of themselves, their bodies, and how they’re feeling.
How do you practice yoga off the mat?
I practice Yoga off the mat by reflecting. I am almost always looking inward at myself, and thinking of ways to better my life.
What do you do when are not teaching NGY classes?
When I am not teaching NGY classes, I am a fulltime REACH Institute teacher as well as wearing my many other REACH hats. I also have a little dachshund that I enjoy spending When not teaching NGY classes, I am a Speech Language Pathologist and have been practicing since 2010. I am also a 200hr RYT since 2016 and enjoy teaching classes in my community.
What is your special gift in connecting with children?
I think my special gift in connecting with children is really listening to what they have to say. It is very meaningful to children to have someone stop, and show that what they are thinking and feeling is important.
