Why do you teach Next Generation Yoga?
I love that Next Generation Yoga fosters children’s playful, imaginative and inquisitive nature. It aims to equip children with the necessary tools to navigate a mindful life that is pure & good and full of love, laughter, giving & insight. It is a gift to be able to be on this path with them.
How do you practice yoga off the mat?
Every moment is an opportunity to practice! Yoga, to me, is about peeling back and discarding layers of false identities and realizing what is pure, true and good about yourself. When you unbiasedly open your heart and mind to the present moment, anything is possible!
What do you do when are not teaching NGY classes?
When I am not working my day job or sharing NGY lessons, you will find me off on grand adventures, near and far, with my husband and two children. We love to hike, explore, bike, camp and just be with each other. I also enjoy painting, drawing and traveling to all ends of this beautiful world that we live in.
What is your special gift in connecting with children?
As a grown-up child, myself, I marvel in the magical moments of life both big and small and take great joy in their discovery. Children are naturals at this and when you can recognize this in them and in their daily moments of discovery, you will be gifted with the opportunity to see through their eyes just how fun life can be.
