On today’s ‘Tuesday Tip’ for The Biz of Kids Yoga I share the message that it is important to charge your worth. One of the most common questions I get asked from Kids Yoga Teachers is how much they should charge for things like private lessons, birthday parties or family classes. The thing is, you need to look at the market where you live in the world to determine what your rates should be. I live in the Bay Area, so if you are on the East Coast or in Tennessee or Colorado, what you should charge will be very different. So basically, you have to do your research … check out what other Yoga Teachers in your town are charging and then use that information as a gage to determine your rates.
And, YES, you should be charging for your services! People tell me that they have a hard time charging because they feel that the spiritual nature of Yoga should not have a price put on it. But know that you are bringing a very valuable service to children and families you are working with just like any other professional service. You absolutely deserve to get paid for your Yoga classes!
Check out today’s video blog and learn why it is so important to do your market research to find out the best rates to charge and then don’t be afraid to charge them!
OK, Kids Yoga Teachers … now it’s your turn! Your action step is to do some research into what others are charging for Yoga classes in your area and then get comfy with charging for your services!
I would love to hear from you – let me know how your action step goes and please leave a comment on the blog, facebook pageor send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any other topics you would like me to talk about in an upcoming ‘Tuesday Tip.’
In support of you,
