Hey Meghan, tell us about your Kids Yoga biz!
I share developmentally-appropriate, playful & engaging Kids Yoga with children ages 1.5 – 9 years old in Chicago, IL.
A TBoKY ROCKSTAR is committed to their Kids Yoga Biz with leadership and contribution to community … What makes you a TBoKY ROCKSTAR?
In an effort to make Yoga accessible to all children I lead a weekly “karma” (free) yoga class at a non-profit tutor/mentor program. I am in the process of starting a local Meetup group for Kids Yoga and fitness instructors in Chicago to create more community & share ideas & resources.
What are you currently most excited about in your biz right now?
I am most excited about the GROWTH my business is seeing. I am in the process of becoming an LLC, and hired my first teacher to lead classes for me!
What is a personal habit or resource that contributes to your success and that you would highly recommend to other Kids Yoga Teachers?
Using Google Drive (or a similar service) to streamline all documents, lessons, contracts, etc. I would also recommend Trello to track tasks & to-do’s for yourself or your team.
How has The Biz of Kids Yoga influenced your business?
The Biz of Kids Yoga™ inspired me to start treating my Kids Yoga business like an actual business instead of a hobby. I started setting goals, thinking about timelines, planning ahead, planning out my work-flow, work hours, and how to increase my income outside of teaching daily children’s classes. My TBoKY-ers encouraged me to take risks and charge more for services, create systems to track income, classes, school information, etc. I know that my business operates more efficiently now because of the TBoKY Mastermind experience. My income has increased and I’ve hired my first employee!
