Happy Wednesday Friends!
On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’ I share about my morning ritual. I have found that having a morning practice helps me set the tone for the rest of my day. When I don’t do my morning ritual, I feel imbalanced and not quite myself. So there are three things I do every morning, even when I’m traveling, that help me get my day started right. Check out my ‘Wednesday Walk’ for some inspiration on how to start your own morning practice so that you too can rise inspired and ready to face the day, every day.
I would love to hear from you. What is your morning practice? If you don’t have a practice, what are some things you would like to begin doing first thing in the morning? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!
All love,
I talk with God

i miss swimming ~ glad you do so, it is so nourishing for the body, mind & soul!
I’ve struggled off and on with my morning rituals, and I agree that my day doesn’t feel right until I do certain things. These days I have been starting my day with … prayer, yoga practice, and meditation. I LOVE the idea of meditating in bed, of beginning my day in a lovely slow nurturing way sounds so wonderful! Thank you, Jodi, for this awesome Wednesday Walk! <3
my morning is my “me time” – i dont do anything before 9am as i need this time to acclimate to my day. glad this inspired you lisa & would love to hear how you are doing with your morning practice these days.
loving you,
jodi
Totally agree. The productiveness, easefulness and joy i experience each day is totally contingent upon my morning practice. I consider it to be my time to tune in to me and connect to the universal support and guide cr that is always there. This is so important when working with children, as you already know. My practice: breath, gentle movement and meditation. If I have time I journal, but for me I find journaling at night very therapeutic and allows me to process the day. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Much love
Allison

Hello Jodi,
This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot. I have two year old twins, one of whom rises at 5:30 these days (oy), which offers challenges to the morning practice. My husband, however, has been a saint these past few days and has gotten up to bring the bellowing child downstairs to let me rest. I am inspired by your video, to try wriggling my body into a seated position for meditation tomorrow morning during these wee hours. I KNOW it would help immensely with my mindset for the busy day ahead. Wish me luck and thanks so much for your committed efforts each Wed!
Love,
Dana
Thanks for sharing dana! i hope you have been able to wriggle your body into a seated position even just for a few breaths … i trust its not about the length of time, but more about the quality.
thank goodness for your saintly husband! and you! and your beautiful family!
let me know how its going!
LOVE it! Thanks once again. Waking up is physically tough for me lately, so I will implement a ritual to wake up to, look forward to, and start my day in the light. I may actually have to open my eyes a bit earlier 😉
love you betsy & your light! <3
I always enjoy your “Wednesday Walk” videos, Jodi. Thank you! I like to say these prayers when I awaken: “May all beings everywhere be happy and free. And may there be peace on Earth and may it begin with me”; “Thank you, God, for this new incarnation”; and “May my actions today be for the benefit of all beings.” I also like to do a little deep breathing and gentle stretching of my spine, followed by inhaling some peppermint essential oils and enjoying some warm water with lemon, which, according to Ayurveda, stokes the digestive fire. Thank you again for your authentic wisdom! Blessings, Amy
