Wednesday Walk ~ Be Love

Happy Wednesday Friends On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’, I share how I have learned to Be Love, Give Love and Love Unconditionally. Last week, I helped my best friend in the world ~ my dog Chants ~ transition into the light. Chants passed with so much honor and love, surrounded by friends and warmth. Chants lived his life as a walking example of love. All who came across him felt his positivity deep in their heart, and I have learned so much about what it means to live love. As I walk on the beach that Chants and I shared many walks on, I can’t help but feel proud to have learned to love unconditionally. Please watch my video blog to hear about the wonderful ways Chants showed me to love.

I would love to hear from you. How have you learned to live from your heart and truly be love? Who has shown you how to love unconditionally? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you. I can not even begin to express the immense gratitude I feel for the outpouring of your love and support that I have received since Chants’ passing. Your love is literally carrying me through, thank you. P.s. I would love to share the story of Chants’ peaceful, honorable passing. You can find it on my facebook page by clicking here. If we are not friends yet, let’s be.

All love,

jodi

Thank you for sharing such a deep and personal moment. At first it was very difficult to click onto the videos and your posts because it all seemed too painful with everything else that was happening in the world. But I was called to click on this video and appreciated every tearful, heart-opening frame. 2012 marked the end of many cycles and I see how Chants was able to do what he was made for: to inspire love in everyone and he chose you as his voice. Sending prayers and love to you, Jodi, who shines your light brighter than those whose lights may have dimmed from forgetting who they are at times (including me). You inspire and with Chants being “the angel you know by name” inside of you, the world feels so much better.

Jodi, You are so beautiful. Wow-thank you for being so inspiring. I love your weekly videos and your raw truth and sweetness. I love your friend Amanda’s advice, as I have two cats that I love so much and yes, they are naughty and yes, I still love and adore them. I also have a boyfriend. And yes, he is naughty too! lol And I would like to work on loving him unconditionally. It’s wonderful heart advice. We are having a rough time right now and this is what I need to hear. Sending love to you, sending love to sweet angel Chants, sending love to all beings everywhere. ~*~*~*~*~SO HUM~*~*~*~*

    Jodi,
Thanks for sharing your beautiful loved filled relationship with Chants, his transitioning ceremony, and this heart felt video clip of your first walk without him by your side. You are LOVE ~ I too enjoyed your friend’s comment about loving a man unconditionally, and every human on earth. I have an English Bulldog, Obie ( 9 yrs. old) who has been by my side since he was 5 wks. old. Obie picked me out when we went to look at the litter. I wanted a tan & white female, but Obie kept coming over to me while the others continued to play. So a week later, we took him home!
Obie & I went to puppy kindergarten at PetSmart and he absolutely LOVED learning. So we went all the way to advanced training classes, and he became a Canine Good Citizen and then completed Therapy Dog International training and became a certified by Therapy Dog International. We go visiting together to hospitals, nursing homes, behavioral health units, psychiatric hospitals, and hospice units hoping to spread some cheer and smiles to those who can’t get out. We have been volunteering together for 7 yrs. He loves visiting everyone! And I love sharing my pet with everyone! Obie has completed over 550 visits! I am told by others in our TDI group, that if we miss a visit, patients often ask, “where’s Obie today?”. He has won the hearts of so many! So for me, this is how I have learned to love unconditionally. When I see that one hour out of my day several times a month, makes a difference in someone’s life, by sharing this unconditional love my pet can offer by his mere presence, it fills my heart and gives me such joy.
We have participated in various events together, the annual fashion show at our local Mall for our local animal shelter, and Bark for Life, cancer fundraiser, to name a few. Traveling around together and sharing our “Special Time” with others makes my life complete. You can see pictures of Obie in some of his visiting costumes on my FB page if you would like.
I look forward to your posts and deep sharing, Jodi.
In Love & Light, Hugs & Licks,
    Joanne Scanlon & Obie

hey Jodi, long time! It’s Brett, your around the corner neighbor from the Upper West Side…my dog Stella (the boxer mix with the mighty overbite) and Chants would play quite often in Central Park together. I received your newsletter and saw the news about Chants and wanted to say how sorry I was to hear that news. Stella and I have very fond memories of Chants. He was always a super fun, loving dog and a great comrade for Stella to play with. I remember how Stella’s “nub” would start to wag as soon as she saw that big white doggie coming down the street. We were definitely touched by our time with Chants and just wanted you to know that we will always remember what a great dog he was! I hope the outpouring of fond memories help make this time a little bit easier. All the best….

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! I have cried more in the last week following your videos and posts. You move me so deeply, and I’m sure I don’t have the perfect words at this moment since I’m in tears and my chest is clenched. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! It flows naturally from me to Scottie, to Shelby, to Izzy. It flows naturally from them to me. Its an awesome conversation and movement to get all of us sharing, giving, flowing in complete UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! Jodi…don’t you dare stop sharing and loving the way you do. You are a world changer!
