Wednesday Walk ~ Heart Opening in Kenya

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I’m not sure if it’s because mercury is in retrograde or the internet connection is uber slow on the Kenyan coast ~ but the video I made for you today wouldn’t upload so I’ll share my ‘Wednesday Walk’ with you via writing & pictures.

I spent the last 2 weeks in Nairobi, Kenya spearheading Team Next Generation Yoga for Africa Yoga Project. Our days were action packed from early to late, filled with yoga practice, team meetings, outreach classes in informal settlements at schools, orphanages and a prison. As well, we enjoyed a safari just prior to the week long NGY Teacher Training for 78 students. Despite the rigorous schedule & intense environments ~ my heart was blasted open & my mind way expanded because of all that I witnessed & experienced. I will never be the same after this trip!

It is truly hard to put words to what I saw and felt, so I will share pictures (taken by Epic PhotoJournalism) ~ that I trust will give you a taste of my adventure. See the amazing photos here.

Finally, they say “if you can only go to 2 continents in your life ~ go to Africa 2 times.” I couldn’t agree more & hope you make it there one day for yourself!

I would love to hear from you! Tell me about a time in your life when your heart & mind were so blown away by what you saw & experienced.  Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you.

All love,

jodi

Your journey is so inspiring and important. It’s been a while since I experience such magic, but traveling has always been a guartanteed vessel for it. I visited my sponsor child and her family in Nicaragua in 2002. I thank you for reminding me of the magic. xo
