Wednesday Walk ~ Landmark Education Take-aways

On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’, well, I am not on a walk ‘cause it’s been pouring rain in San Francisco! I spent 3-days, last weekend, immersed in a personal development course, and in today’s video, from my cozy couch, I share with you my 4 greatest takeaways that I got from Landmark Education.

1. I (and all human beings) most always do things from a place of wanting to be liked & well-thought of. This has it’s drawbacks & has held me back from doing things I wanted to & being fully self-expressed.

2. I choose vulnerability. When I allow the people in my life to truly see me, all of me, then we can connect on a deeper level.

3. I take responsibility for how I show up in my relationships. Specifically, I sent a letter to my ex & owned my part as well as apologized. He received me. But even better, is that I am now able to create space for the love life I truly want in my life now.

4. My word is everything. When I do not keep my word, I chip away at my integrity. I am committed to a life of integrity.

Check out my video for more on my Landmark breakthroughs, as well as inspiration for bringing vulnerability, responsibility and integrity into your life.

I would love to hear from you. Have you ever done Landmark Education or transformational work? What are your biggest breakthroughs? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!

All love,

jodi

Hi Jody: Great, as usual, to hear and see what interests you along your path. I was involved with Landmark some years back and while being impressed with the “technology”, i.e. the concepts, I was not taken with their lack of willingness to allow free flowing exchange and seemed to be associated with building the brand and keeping folks coming back by holding back on the next “a ha”. Just a heads up with love,

    John

thanks for sharing your experience john … yes, i know many who have had a similar resistance to Landmarks “marketing” strategy. i however have no “energy” with it.
glad to hear you did benefit from the distinctions.
      much love,

I’ve done every course and worked for Landmark for two years so I could talk about how it impacted every area of my life. Really though for me it is more about the freedom I have experienced in life than what I have done with that freedom. At the age of 20 I grappled with my need to make my parents proud of me so that they would love me and when I understood that they already did love me and nothing could change that it opened up a lifetime of exploring the world as a playground instead of testing ground. Glad you enjoyed your weekend and got value.

You don’t strike me as a person who would break agreements or be out of integrity very often. Otherwise you couldn’t have created what it seems you have created.

    How does one be vulnerable?

    Thanks for sharing.

      hi ryan ~
yes, you are correct – i do a damn good job of keeping my word, and i am human … and fu*k up.
for me being vulnerable means to allow myself to be authentic … to share myself from a deep place & allow others to see all parts of me, not just the pretty ones 😉
      what about you?
      love,
      jodi

    Jodi:
YOU always inspire us from your authentic truest self/heart! I am grateful that you “teach us through your video walks” to live our yoga. Listening to these messages, and then trying to LIVE THEM only helps us to teach the practice of yoga to our little yogi’s. Breaking down these adult messages to the little heart to be understood; be real; live real….Blessings, together we choose to live in the LIGHT, Namaste, Charlotte from New Orleans!!

Wonderful Jodi! I, too, have done Landmark- quite a bit of it actually. I love your take-a-ways and I am going to use this to show 2 specific people (for now) who’d I love to go. Thank you!
Also, I know (& have known) I need to clean something up with you and I’ve been meaning to do so since I left off with TBoKY. I’ll be in touch about it before May so we can be complete. Thanks again. Well, hope you’ve enjoyed some sunshine since you posted! :)) Namaste’
