Happy Wednesday Friends!
On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’ I share about an experience that opened me up to realizing the power I have to create change in the world. So often it is easy to feel powerless when we hear the news about wars and violence happening all around us. In Next Generation Yoga classes, I often ask the students repeat the mantra: “Peace Begins with Me. Peace Begins with You. Peace Begins with Us.” But even as I say and teach those words, I can forget to see the small ways in which I am indeed creating a ripple of peace in my life. Like this weekend … I met a new friend from Palestine. I chose to drop any separation or “ism” that came from conditioning or my cultural up-bringing and embraced her with unconditional love. Check out this week’s ‘Wednesday Walk’ to hear my story and to be reminded of how you can be an agent for social change.
I would love to hear from you. What are the things you are doing in your every day life to spread peace? Have you witnessed acts of kindness and love from others in your life? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!
