Happy Wednesday Friends!
On today’s ‘Wednesday Wisdom’ I share about the wisdom of discerning between the ego and the soul. While I am now all moved in to my new home in Petaluma, California, the process of deciding was very difficult because my ego and soul wanted different things. Having lived 20 years in “the City” (Manhattan and San Francisco,) I was concerned about leaving an environment where “young, cool & hip, single people live.” … And in the end, I chose to live a spirit-led life and my soul is quite happy with the quiet, softer and slower-paced life.
Check out this week’s video blog to uncover the differences in when life is run by the ego versus the soul so that you can ultimately make the best decision for yourself and live a happier life.
I would love to hear your wisdom! How do you tell the difference between when it is your ego running the show or your soul?
Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!
All love,
jodi
Hi Jodi,
You have beautifully described the difference between when we are driven by our souls’ desires and by our egos’ desires. I also run into similar situations a lot. Thank you. Namaste.

Ego. I have been having friend drama lately. Really stressed me out. I was talking to a friend about my friends who I felt betrayed me. She then asked me if my ego was too big. Caught me off guard. .I had never really thought about my ego. So I need to learn more…Philosophy 101 was so long ago…anyway..she may have a point. I need to start reading E Toole to learn more about ego. Lots to learn ..always good to have friends keep us in check.
our friends & relationships are our greatest reflections emmalie! glad you have them all so close by!

Hi beauty! Loved your video. You will love Petaluma and you can also buzz into SF when you need a city fix. I can tell the difference between when my soul is running the show vs my ego when I take a few moments of quiet and drop down and in to find my truth. I explore the feelings as they arise and ask myself what is the real truth? If I am really stuck on a perpetual problem I might go to “The Work” by Byron Katie. The answers are always inside and our emotions are meant to be felt and acknowledged, what ever they are. Often a good dance can clear away uncertainty and place me right in my truth. like it or not <3
i so love you jennifer pearce … happy to be living closer to you now! thank you for sharing you & your wisdom with us. sat nam sister <3
