On today’s ‘Wednesday Wisdom’ my sweet lil niece, Lia Jean, and I share about the importance of bringing play into your life! I just got back from spending precious time with my family in snowy Black Butte, Oregon where I spent lots of time playing with Lia and my nephew, JJ. We had tons of fun doing stuff like sledding, playing board games, ping pong (I won!) and swimming!
It was so fun to watch Lia and JJ’s “all in” attitude as they went sledding and their enthusiasm made me want to join in. But, I didn’t have snow pants and my adult-self was worried about getting wet. Lia had the perfect answer and told me “don’t worry about it, Aunt JoJo, it’s just snow!” I love that and desire more of that “don’t worry about it” attitude into my life!
As adults, I realize, we just don’t play often enough and usually only when there are kids around. It was great to get out and play with the whole family ~ all the adults felt so free, alive and healthy playing around these beautiful kids!
Check out this week’s video blog about bringing “all in” play into your life!
I would love to hear your wisdom! What do you do to bring the light and freedom that comes from playing into your life? Do you need to be around kids to play or can you let loose and get that “all in” feeling on your own?
Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you!
