Wednesday Walk ~ Why I Moved to the Bay Area

Happy Wednesday Friends!

On today’s ‘Wednesday Walk’, I share with you the reasons why I decided to change up my life and move to the Bay Area. Though I had many wonderful things happening in my life in San Diego ~ a thriving business, a blessed community and a wonderful home ~ deep down inside I heard my intuition calling me to make a change and relocate. While a change like this brings up a lot of risk, and requires a lot of trust … I know that I am being divinely guided towards the next magnificent phase of my existence.

Please enjoy my video blog to learn the reasons why I moved to the Bay Area and why it is so great for me.

I would love to hear from you. Have you had a time in your life when you trusted your intuition and embraced a big change in your life? How did you feel once you made the change? Or maybe there is a pulling in your heart to make a change ~ what’s stopping you? Please leave a comment on the blog so we can all learn from you

All love,

    Dear Jodi,

As Deepak says, the real mastery lies in surrendering to the safe arms of uncertainity and clearly you are a “maestra” of that. We wish you good luck in your endevaours.

    Best Wishes,
    Utku from Istanbul

Awesome! I share your spirit and ‘knew’ your reasons…and isn’t it amazing how we sometimes feel the need for change when everything is so smooth? Sometimes you just know when you are ready to take your energy elsewhere. And sometimes complacency isn’t stimulating enough! Lovely share…so much will be manifesting for you! Blessings!

    • jodibk 8 years ago

yes vicky! sometimes complacency isn’t enough!!!
      love you!

Welcome to the Bay Area! Maybe the chance to be connected to nature has brought you here. I find that the Bay Area offers so much. You can have a wonderful professional career, yet there are so many ways yo access nature…beaches, trails, parks, mountains. If we stop to look around there is so much natural beauty to take in.

My big change was prompted by a hypnosis session when trying to conceive a baby. I had a lucid dream under hypnosis where I saw a toddler at the edge of a dock. It was reaching its arm out calling another small being to join it on the dock. Soon after this session, I started fertility treatments and although I expected to grow my family with one more child, I ended up with twin girls. At some level, my being new we were meant to have two more spirits in our home.

marta ~ what a beautiful experience you had … congratulations on your twins! i hope to have them one day too. intuition is priceless.
      all love,

Hi Jodi, I’m going through that right now. And have been feeling the need to leave for a number of years. I am actually not satisfied with what I do and still looking for something to create of my own. I might be ready for that move, hopefully in August I’ll get the chance :). I’m thinking to move from NYC to Texas!

    • jodibk 8 years ago

go aten go! a move is challenging for sure … but i realise you have to want it more than you are afraid of it.

      • aten 8 years ago

Thank you Jodi, its interesting that day after sending out the final paper work for Texas, my grandma is in the hospital. I am yet to find out her condition but at 86 it cannot be light probably. I am wondering if I am being tested somehow. I was scared the most to tell my grandparents, because they are most attached to me and I didn’t want to upset them and land them in hospital because of it.

I watched your video today. Truthfully, it is the first one I have ever watched in a year. I have two little ones and barely get time to read email. I had this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach while watching it. My husband of 10 years I believe has been unfaithful. I’m so sick about it, but there is a reason I saw your video today with the message “Change is good”. I’m FRIGHTENED of what it would do to my children if I leave, but I believe there is a better life for me and my babies. This man is lost… Full of hatred and no spirituality, whereas my spirituality has grown tremendously over the last 10 years. I always hoped he’d follow my lead in finding the beauty in life. I don’t want to sound like I’m bringing the mood down, but more so want to thank you for giving me the inspiration and courage to know what I need to do, and to becoming one step closer to feeling free to build a beautiful life for me and my little pumpkins! Ah… Breathe.

    With much gratitude,

    • jodibk 8 years ago

sending you much love, peace & motivation to do what you need to do annie. i know you know in your heart what is necessary ~ take good care of you & your pumpkins. glad you watched this video today.

Yes! I did the same thing about six months ago, for very similar reasons and under very similar circumstances. It’s been great. Everything has both accelerated and deepened since I followed my instincts and made the leap. AND, the man has arrived…

Loving you and our shared path. May you continue to be showered with blessings in this next chapter of your life.

    • jodibk 8 years ago

    Dear Jodi,
A friend recently said, “If you stay in your comfort zone, you do not evolve.” I really resonate with this approach and I love it that you are so connected with your inner voice, your essence, your soul.
Look forward to hear your adventures and learnings.

you & your friend speak the truth esra!

Hello Gorgeous! This video brings me to tears for 2 reasons. I am deeply happy for you and jealous at the same time. Before I was pregnant, I would move often and tackle whatever wishes and dreams I had. My sweet boy is 4 now, and we did make our move from Colorado to San Diego almost one year ago. We are truly happy here and I express my deep gratitude for the life we have every single day. Facebook tends to be a source of torture for me when I see you and others moving to exciting cities and countries. Sometimes I catch myself fantasizing about moving, then come back to reality by saying my mantra…”Mommie trumps Gypsy!”

I love you, your videos, your courage, your honesty!

    • jodibk 8 years ago

you inspire me more than you realise – thank you for your love, support & honest sharing.
while i love being a gypsy, i can hardly wait for the day to be mommy 🙂

Change IS good, congratulations on the big move. I discovered my current home, Park City, UT on a road trip last summer! I simply never left; my intuition told me it was right. When people ask how long I will stay, I admit I have no idea – but flexing the change muscle only makes you more certain you can do it again and again and again. So while I would love to be here for some time, I am surrendering to the universe, trusting that when it’s time to go I will find myself just as happy wherever it is I must go.

hope to see you in the Bay soon! (I know the exact trail you were filming on!)

    • jodibk 8 years ago

oh yay carrie you are in park city!!! please stay connected – i trust our gypsy paths will cross soon!
      big love to you sister.

Nice sharing, Jodi! I agree, change is good! And so glad to see that you went for it. I too have that knowing that it’s time to go and that change is good! We’re still exploring SoCal to find where we are going to land later this year too. The search is a fun part of the whole exciting adventure.

    • jodibk 8 years ago

i can hardly wait to see where you & your beautiful family land erin!
      thanks for staying connected.

Wish you all the best! I so resonate with your thought of changing even if the circumstance is great at the time. I had couple of big moves in my life, and each time it opens me up in every dimension. It is like awakening different forces in me and adding new blood to my soul. Thank you for sharing your path, and showing us by experience how abundance life is.
